Newspaper Cricket

Well it has been an uneventful week so far.  On Sunday, I just hung around the flat recovering from the trip to Brighton.  Monday, I went to my Understanding Modern Britain Class and we actually went to the classroom.  We talked about how polite the British people are supposedly.  We also talked about difference in sports between the UK and the US.  We played a game of cricket with newspaper equipment.  I supplied the newspaper for the ball.  Apparently the person who throws the ball is called the bowler, and the batter should not drop the bat.  It was rather funny to watch.  We are supposed to write a paper for the midterm that is due on Oct 21.  After class I went to Sainsbury's to get some cheese and I ended up getting a lot of stuff including rice, fish, chips, and a strawberry Swiss role.  Oh, I got all of the weird kinds of crisps, otherwise known in America as chips.  I got smoky bacon, roast chicken, and prawn cocktail.

Today I watched the movie "Angela's Ashes," in my Child Dev. class.  It was a pretty sad movie but it was very interesting.  Now that I have seen the movie I want to read the book.  After that class I had to renew my travel card on my Oyster card.  I was a little late for my Aesthetics class, but found them easily in the Tate Modern.  We looked at lots of modern art and took a guided tour of some art just made out of stuff from the 1960s.  We say a picture of Andy Warhol, and some more sculpture stuff.  After class I came back to the flat, and fixed some fish and chips.  I guess it wasn't such a terrible Tuesday.

I think I may be going to the Tower of London tomorrow.  I will have to see if it works out.
